Facebook Retargeting

In some instances, remarketing methods are employed using Facebook’s retargeting tools, such as the Facebook Pixel. This allows user behaviour to be tracked once a user has been redirected to the Site from a Facebook ad. This lets us measure how effective our Facebook ads are for both statistical and market research purposes. The data collected via this method is completely anonymised for us and this information is not identifiable. However, this data is both stored and processed by Facebook, hence why it is covered in our privacy policy. Facebook may link this information to a Facebook account and also use it for its on promotional purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Usage Policy https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. Facebook and its partners have the ability to place adverts on and off Facebook. For these purposes, a cookie may be stored on your system.

The usage of this data by Facebook is compliant with all local data protection laws, such as GDPR and the Data Protection Act. In accordance with these policies, you can object to the collection of your data by the Facebook Pixel here.

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.  For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
